Halcyon Imports is commited to bringing the best of Europe here to the United States. We have close relationships with our European partners as well as our own personal horse talent scouting team to comb though dozens of horses. Each horse is put through a rigorous 5 - step process to make sure they are suitable for the American market.  Halcyon travels to Europe 4-5 times a year looking for prospects for all disciplines and all price points.

 

Step 1: Personal relationships with reputable German and Dutch sellers and breeders

Step 2: All horses are subjected to an off property trial where they are exposed to a typical American style jump course as well as liverpools and open water where appropriate

Step 3: Horses are left with European partner for a period of a week or two to assess trainablity and suitability

Step 4: Video vetting with world class American veterinarians and farriers

Step 5: Horses are imported into our training team where they are fine tuned for sale,exposed to amatuer and junior riders, and in many cases in the show ring with juniors prior to being put on the market.
